Wisdom Meditation

Wisdom Community,

Please note! New dates have been added. For the updated list of Wisdom Meditation zoom links from Monday March 30~Monday April 10 please go to the bottom of this post.

There has been an arising among many of us in our Wisdom collective…to FIND A WAY to gather virtually, during this time. This crisis offers us the opportunity to gather prayers and intentions from all around the world. Our technical ability to CONNECT ACROSS THE GLOBE has ‘prepared us well’ for such a moment as this and RISES TO MEET US as we engage in NEW ways of CONNECTING as a Wisdom community.

To that end….

We will be offering a 30 minute collective Wisdom Pause “for Silence and Stillness” on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next two weeks. These PAUSES (Virtual Wisdom Practice Opportunities) will be offered twice a day at 10:30am EDT (7:30 am PDT) and 7pm EDT (4:00pm PDT), on M/W/F.

Wisdom members of our collective will be leading each sit, with a time for chant, and meditation/stillness in each Zoom gathering. If you have never worked with zoom before, all you need to do is download the free ZOOM App, and then CLICK on the highlighted ZOOM address below, during the scheduled time of each gathering.

  1. This sounds wonderful… thank you so much… is there a way we can share this with others who are not apart of the “Wisdom community”?

  2. His would love to be in some of these. I’m not sure how to convert the different daily time and location times to Melbourne Australia times, could you help me with this please?

    1. Looks like 10:30am EDT this morning, 3/18, would be in Australia 3/19 at 1:30 am; probably not that convenient. The evening session of 3/18 at 7pm EDT would be, in Australia, 3/19 at 10am. I used this website to convert the time Hope this helps.

  3. Thank you, partners in silence. Bill Redfield, I would love to learn more deeply the chant you led last night. Could you post lyrics and perhaps a link to a sung version? That way I can “sustain the circle.”

    1. Amongst other things, in his brief greeting to the participants on Wednesday evening’s online mediation gathering, Bill Redfield referred to the fact that senior medical students in Italy have been told that they will not have to take final exams this year. Instead, they are being asked to take their places now as doctors in the fight against the Coronavirus. Similarly, we no longer have the luxury of being Wisdom students. We are being called to be Wisdom Practitioners and to take up our posts and contribute to the holding of the earth’s pain body.
