Sacred Silence: An Immersion in Contemplative Practice Week-long Retreat with Laura Ruth, Allen Bourque, Steven Bonsey, Kerstin Lipke

Feb 16-23, 2018

This retreat has become an annual event at Hallelujah Farm. Offering week-long immersion in Wisdom Practice in the depths of winter, this is an opportunity to delve into the elements that emerge within the container of a silent retreat, a rare treat in the Wisdom tradition. Time will be spent within a rhythm of silent prayer, chanting, lectio divina, conscious work and contemplative movement.

2018 will be the third year Kerstin Lipke and Laura Ruth have been guiding Wisdom Practice Circles at Hallelujah Farm. We welcome our guest teachers.

The Rev. Steven Bonsey works at the juncture of contemplative practice and social justice. He is a student of Cynthia Bourgeault, a commissioned presenter of Contemplative Outreach, co-founder of the Leadership Development Initiative, Co-Director of Wisdom & Money and former Canon Pastor of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston.

Allen Bourque is a long-time Centering Prayer practitioner and tai chi teacher who has been a student of Tai Chi and related Daoist internal arts for over 20 years and is an advanced student of Cynthia Bourgeault, graduate of the Shalem Program for Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats, member of the faculty of the Life Together Community of Brookline, and a member of the Board of Contemplative Outreach Boston.
