The Heart of Centering Prayer: Nondual Christianity with Cynthia Bourgeault
This weekend program offers a practical hands-on training in the practice of Centering Prayer, a pioneering development within the Christian contemplative tradition. Cynthia will help you dive deeper into the experience by analyzing what actually happens in Centering Prayer: the mind effectively switches to a new operating system that makes open-hearted, nondual perception possible. We will also explore some of the important Christian mystical classics, including The Cloud of Unknowing, one of the earliest Christian explorations of nondual consciousness.

The initial focus of the center was on spiritual values but the mission quickly expanded to include how our values and intentions lead us to participate in the wider world. Since then, the New York Open Center has evolved into an urban destination for holistic learning, personal development, professional advancement and enrichment. Today, the New York Open Center presents more than 300 programs of exceptional depth and integrity to audiences totaling more than 10,000 annually.
